Tinnock Farm – Artisan Market Ballinakill

Twin Trees Heywood Festival - Artisan Market

We are delighted to welcome Tinnock Farm to Ballinakill, on August 22nd, for our Artisan Market, which will take place in the village square.
It is all part of our Spend A Day In Ballinakill & Heywood campaign, for this year’s Twin Trees Heywood Festival!

At 10am our Fishing Competition gets underway at Gills Pond, and the Laois Food Market takes place in the village square. Grab some refreshments before or after our Guided Historical Walk of Ballinakill & Heywood, which takes place at 11am.
After that browse the Outdoor Art Exhibition, before heading to majestic Heywood Gardens for our Tour, Talks & Picnic Afternoon Tea, which takes place at 2pm. Guide for the tour is Lutyens descendant, Amanda Pitcairn, and our Speakers are Dr. Matthew Jebb, Botanic Gardens, and Geoff Stebbings, Editor of Garden Answers Magazine.

Tinnock Farm Tipperary

“We live and produce our goods at Tinnock Farm Tipperary, a Smallholding in the Slieveardagh hills. Our small-holding includes an area of hazel coppice, vegetable gardens, a young orchard, streams and paddocks. We aim to grow as much of our food as we can, and are closer to achieving our goal every year. We are firm believers of living as simply as we can with as little impact on our piece of the world. Zero waste and reducing our plastic are vitally important to us.
As well as being our home, Tinnock is habitat to a range of native Irish flora and fauna including Long Eared Bats, Red Squirrels, Pine Martin, primroses, bluebells and cowslips to name a few.”

Environmentally Friendly Products

Tinnock Farm’s goods were born out of a desire for simple, environmentally friendly products. They believe in using all natural oils that are sustainable, vegan, free from paraffin, palm oils, dyes, and have no unnecessary packaging.

Their candles are lovingly handcrafted and produced on a very small scale in their  farmhouse using 100% natural soy wax and cotton wicks.
Their scents are produced using high quality fragrance oils and essential oils and are inspired by life around their farm. Hours of testing insure that each candle provides customers with maximum fragrance throw and burn times. Likewise, their soap is made in the traditional cold process way and left to cure for 6 weeks. Full of nourishing olive oil and shea butter with essential oils, the soaps are gentle enough for any skin!
