Twin Trees Heywood Festival.

We are delighted to announce that the Twin Trees Heywood, Art & Culture Festival 2022, will take place from August 18th – 21st, in Ballinakill, Co. Laois.
We are currently in planning stages for much of the event, but can confirm that our Three day Tutored En Plein Air starts on Thursday 18th August, in Heywood Gardens, and finishes on Saturday 20th August in Ballinakill Village, with a day’s painting in the woodlands, in between.
Also confirmed is our Yoga In Heywood Gardens with Simon Rogers, of Blackhill Woods Retreat, which is being held in the beautiful, Lutyens designed formal gardens, on Sunday August 21st at 11am.
After a wonderful event in 2021 to follow up our inaugural festival in 2019, we are really looking forward to August of next year, and the opportunity to welcome you all to Ballinakill.

Three Day En Plein Air (Open Air Painting)
Thursday 18th – Saturday 20th August 2022 – With tutors Jock Nichols, Bridgette Flannery.
Day 1: Heywood Gardens
Day 2: The Woods
Day 3: The Village
Artist of all levels of ability and experience, are welcome to attend.
Fishing Competition
Saturday 20th August 2022
This year’s Fishing competition for the Lutyens Cup, takes place on Saturday 20th August, beginning at 10am with a draw for fishing spots.
The angling will begin at Gills Pond at 11am and will conclude at 4pm. A fee of €10 applies to all participants and places are limited.
This competition is run in conjunction with Ballinakill Angling Club.

Yoga In Heywood Gardens with Simon Rogers

We cannot think of a better way to spend a Sunday morning in August, than a calming Yoga class, in the stunning surroundings of Heywood Gardens. Our Yogi for the session, Simon Rogers, as well as being a passionate Yoga teacher, is also a Natural Health and Well Being Therapist, and is Facilitator at Blackhill Woods Retreat, which is a sanctuary of Nature, Yoga & Well Being, in Abbeyleix, Co. Laois.
Additional Instruction: Please bring your own Yoga mat!
