Amanda Pitcairn

We really cannot think of anyone more suited to guide us on a walk through Heywood Gardens, than Amanda Pitcairn, the great grandniece of Edwin Lutyens.

Amanda returned to full time education in 2010 and graduated with a BA Hons in History and English(First Class). She then went on to complete her MPhil in Public History and Cultural Heritage at TrinityCollege Dublin. Her MPhil thesis focused on the missing regalia of the Kings of Leinster.

Amanda runs the hugely successful Touch The Past –  Walking tours of historic sites in Ireland’s Ancient East such as Kilkenny city, Kells Priory, Jerpoint Abbey, Ferns, Borris Village, Carlow Town and Clonmacnoise.
